THE ACTION WEEK ORGANISING COLLECTIVE IS REPEATEDLY ASKED WHAT SPECIFIC PEOPLE ARE ON THE ORGANISING committee. WE WOULD LIKE TO BRIEFLY EXPLAIN WHY WE CANNOT GIVE A CONCRETE ANSWER TO SUCH QUESTIONS.
WE ARE NOT A FORMAL ORGANISATION AND EVERYONE IS INVOLVED IN THE WAY THEY PREFER. FOR SOME, THIS MEANS THAT THEY WANT TO PARTICIPATE ANONYMOUSLY, WHICH IS A NORMAL PART OF THE SECURITY CULTURE IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT HAS TO DEFEND ITSELF AGAINST INFILTRATION AND POLICE REPRESSION. Organizační kolektiv Akčního týdne opakovaně dostává otázku, jaké konkrétní osoby jsou součástí organizačního výboru. Stručně chceme vysvětlit, proč nemůžeme dát konkrétní odpověď na takové otázky. Nejsme formální organizace a každý se zapojuje způsobem, který preferuje. Pro někoho to znamená, že chce participovat anonymně, což je běžná součást bezpečnostní kultury v prostředí, které se musí bránit před infiltrací a policejními represemi. Minimálně 3 osoby z našeho kolektivu jsou ochotné komunikovat tváří v tvář. Komunikujeme také na e-mailu a sociálních sítích. Prosíme, neptejte se nás stále na další konkrétní osoby A JMÉNA. Respektujte Individuální a kolektivní bezpečnostní opatření.

Information about the new space for the anti-war congress

We have made considerable efforts and probably managed to arrange alternative premises for the anti-war congress in Prague. We’ll have confirmation on Saturday morning. It’s in Prague Hostivař, so expect information on the blog, social media and hotline phone in the morning. If everything goes smoothly, we can start at 9:00 am. The venue has very limited capacity so we can’t guarantee we can fit everyone in. We have no other option now, so we have to accept at least this very limited one.

Informace o novém prostoru na protiválečný kongres

Vyvinuli*y jsme značné úsilí a pravděpodobně se nám podařilo domluvit náhradní prostory na protiválečný kongres v Praze. Potvrzeno to budeme mít v sobotu ráno. Je to v Praze Hostivař, takže očekávejte ráno informace na blogu, sociálních sítích a hotline telefonu. Pokud vše půjde bez problémů, můžeme začít v 9:00. Prostory mají velice omezenou kapacitu, takže nedokážeme zaručit, že se tam vejdou všichni. Nemáme nyní jinou možnost, takže musíme přijmout alespoň tuto značně limitovanou.

Anti-war demonstration cancelled

The anti-war demonstration, which was to take place on Friday 24 May 2024 at 17:00 on Palacký náměstí, will not take place! There are several reasons for the cancellation of the event, but the main one is that now our small collective has to solve urgent problems regarding the alternative venue for the congress as well as other logistical and organizational issues. Thank you for your understanding and we welcome any help you can give.

Protiválečný kongres se bude konat na jiném místě

S lítostí oznamujeme, že jsme přišli*y o místo, kde měl proběhnout protiválečný kongres. Ředitelka školy v Jeseniově ulici od které jsme si pronajali*y dvě tělocvičny, stoly, židle a sociální zázemí nám sdělila, že akce zde nemůže proběhnout a nebude nám umožněn přístup dovnitř budov. Prostory jsme měli*y pronajaté už od února 2024 a přestože jsme neporušili*y žádné podmínky uvedené v písemné smlouvě, ředitelka se rozhodla své závazky nesplnit. Věc řešíme s naším advokátem, ale v tuto chvíli se současně soustředíme na získání náhradního prostoru pro kongres. Prosíme sledujte náš blog a sociální sítě. Informace o náhradním místě zvěřejníme hned jak to bude možné. Všem zůčastněným se omlouváme za komplikace.

Anti-war congress will be held at a different location

We regret to announce that we have lost*the place where the anti-war congress was supposed to take place. The headmistress of the school in Jeseniova Street from which we rented two gymnasiums, tables, chairs and sanitary facilities told us that the event could not take place there and we would not be allowed to enter the buildings. We had*rented the premises since February 2024 and although we had not broken any of the conditions in the written contract, the director decided not to fulfil her obligations. We are taking the matter up with our attorney, but at the moment we are also focusing on obtaining alternative space for the convention. Please keep an eye on our blog and social media. We will post information about the replacement venue as soon as possible. We apologize to all attendees for any complications.

Présentation HDL 12

Chers compagnons et camarades,

Nous saluons chalereusement l’initiative de la réunion internationaliste contre la guerre qui se tient cette semaine à Prague. Dans une époque où la guerre est redevenue une réalité bien tangible, l’objectif de s’organiser concrètement comme classe contre la guerre est fondamental.

A cette occasion , nous publions le numéro 12 de notre revue “Les Habitants de la Lune”, consacrée à la guerre comme produit du capitalisme. Nous ne pourrons malheureusement pas être présents physiquement au congrès mais nous sommes avec vous, en coeur et en passion, et souhaitons attirer votre attention sur quelques points qu’il nous semblerait importants de discuter:

* la nécessité d’une campagne contre la guerre et plus spécifiquement, la rédaction d’une affiche commune, traduite et imprimée dans différentes langues (dont bien sûr, le russe et l’ukrainien), puis collée dans tous les pays en même temps;
* la possibilité de concevoir un blog où seraient regroupées toutes les informations et actions contre la guerre;
* la question de l’aide à l’organisation concrète de la désertion dans les deux camps:
* le soutien au développement des comités de mères, filles, soeurs, compagnes des soldats au front;
* la question de la lutte contre la conscription obligatoire qui est en train de se mettre en place dans de nombreux pays.

Compagnons, camarades, soyons certains que la révolution sociale internationale est la seule solution pour arrêter les guerres. L’histoire est têtue et nous l’a suffisamment démontré par le passé.

The organizing team of the Action WEEK has been facing provocations and sabotages for a long time, which are supposed to complicate the organization of the anti-war activities, which will be IN PRAGUE organized by people from the regions of Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Spain, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Great Britain, the USA, Serbia, Switzerland…
As the deadline for the Action WEEK draws closer, we are watching the attacks of our opponents grow in intensity and fuel the escalation of an already conflicted atmosphere. And because we don’t want to underestimate possible provocations or aggression during the Week of Action, we are taking concrete security measures.
With this we want to strongly warn anyone who disrupts our actions in any way: we will defend our political space with all the means at our disposal. We will respond to aggression with active self-defence. It is clear what all this can mean, because, as is evident from our appeal, we are not pacifists, but revolutionaries. Anyone who ignores this warning will be held responsible for any escalation and the resulting consequences.

Vyjádření k otázkám bezpečnosti a možné eskalace konfliktů na Akčním týdnu

Organizační tým Akčního týdne dlouhodobě čelí provokacím a sabotážím, které mají komplikovat organizaci protiválečných aktivit, jež od 20. do 26. května 2024 přijedou do Prahy organizovat lidé z regionů tzv. Maďarska, Polska, Ukrajiny, Ruska, Španělska, Francie, Rumunska, Bulharska, Německa, Rakouska, Řecka, Itálie, Slovenska, Slovinska, Chorvatska, Velké Británie, USA, Srbska, Švýcarska…
Čím více se termín Akčního týdne blíží, sledujeme jak útoky našich oponentů nabírají na intenzitě a přiživují eskalaci již tak konfliktní atmosféry. A protože nechceme podcenit možné provokace či agresi v průběhu Akčního týdne, děláme konkrétní bezpečností opatření.
Tímto chceme důrazně varovat každého, kdo bude naše akce jakýmkoli způsobem narušovat: budeme bránit náš politický prostor všemi prostředky, které máme k dispozici. Na agresi budeme reagovat aktivní sebeobranou. Je jasné co všechno to může znamenat, protože jak je zjevné z naší výzvy, my nejsme pacifisté*tky, ale revolucionáři*ky. Každý, kdo toto varování bude ignorovat, nese odpovědnost za případnou eskalaci a z ní plynoucí důsledky.

KRAS-IWA: Dopis internacionalistické protiválečné konferenci Praze

Milí/é soudruzi*ky,

My, členové KRAS-IWA, jako dědici antimilitaristické anarchistické tradice manifestu z roku 1915, vítáme účastníky mezinárodní konference, kteří se sešli, aby se vyslovili proti kapitalistické válce a tzv. kapitalistickému „míru“ a odmítli údajné levičáky a pseudoanarchisty, kteří se v kapitalistických válkách stavějí na tu či onu stranu. Doufáme, že toto fórum bude důležitým krokem pro vytvoření praktické interakce zdola a bez ohledu na hranice různých organizací, a to mezi všemi skutečně protiválečnými a antimilitaristickými společenskými silami. Naneštěstí situace v naší zemi a obtížné spojení s dalšími částmi Evropy nám nedávají příležitost zúčastnit se konference osobně. V duchu jsme ale s vámi. Posíláme prohlášení o našem pohledu na otázku války a žádáme vás, abyste s ním seznámili účastníky konference.

THE STUDENT PROTESTS: A MIXED SIGNAL

We publish a new article from our friends from Internationalist Perspective who accepted the invitation to the Action Week.

The student protests are a mixed signal. On the one hand, it is heartening that students in more than 160 colleges and universities in the US are protesting the war in Gaza, and do so with passion and courage. They have inspired many others in other countries and continents to join the fight against this outrageous mass murder. As the New York Times wrote recently, they think not only about Gaza. Solidarita vítězí, Make Tattoo Not War proběhne!

Přestože tým organizují Akční týden musí opakovaně čelit provokacím a sabotování našich protiválečných aktivity, má to i pozitivní stránku. Útoky, které proti nám vedou naši odpůrci zároveň dávají impulz pro solidarní gesta od lidí, kteří jsou našim aktivitám nakloněni. Někteří se probouzejí z hibernující fáze a opětovně se aktivizují. Někteří se rozhodují pro aktivní participaci na Akčním týdnu. Někteří nám poskytují prostor jako náhradu za ten, který se nám snaží jinde brát stoupenci válečné propagandy. S radostí tedy oznamujeme, že benefiční tetovací dýchánek Make Tattoo Not War nakonec přecejen prohěhne a to v libeňském baru Zahrada na adrese: V Zahradách 528/13. Akce je veřejná. Zazvoňte a vstupte. Kromě tetování se můžete účastnit také přednášky a diskuze na téma “Kapitalistický mír je pokračováním války a přípravou na její eskalaci.“  Na místě bude také veganské občerstvení. Začínáme ve středu 22. 5. od 17:00.

Am 16. März 2024 fand in Deutschland auf die Einladung der Initiative „Zimmerwald-Komitee“ ein hybrides Treffen von antinationalen, klassenkämpferischen und den Krieg ablehnenden Gruppen statt. Beteiligt waren Aktivisten aus Deutschland, Österreich, Belgien und Russland. Teilnehmende Gruppen waren: Internationale Kommunistische Strömung (IKS), Konföderation der Revolutionären Anarchosyndikalisten (KRAS), Internationalist Voice, Einzelpersonen aus dem Umfeld der Zeitschrift „GegenStandpunkt“ und der Gruppe “Blauer Montag“.
