ANTI-WAR CONGRESS / PRAGUE / 24 to 26 May 2024 /

From 20 to 26 May 2024, groups and individuals from different parts of the world will meet in Prague to coordinate anti-war activities as part of the Week of Action. The series of events will also include an anti-war congress, which will take place from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 May 2024. Campaigns, direct actions, projects, publications and analyses related to the issue of war will be presented at the congress. Among other things, this internationalist event will serve as an open assembly that will try to combine theoretical background with practical activities.

Anarchistická solidarita a protiválečné iniciativy v postjugoslávských zemích (Antipolitika)

Diskuse se zaměří na snahu formulovat autonomní antikapitalistický postoj proti válce a militarismu. Na základě zkušeností s anarchistickými aktivitami během válek v 90. letech na území tzv. jugoslávie budeme diskutovat o způsobech, jakými se logice války a její “normálnosti” dalo a stále dá uniknout. Pokusíme se také zvážit důsledky války na různé aspekty naší existence, jako jsou genderové role, životní prostředí a další materiální podmínky, a nakonec vyzveme k propojení všech bojů proti kapitalistické mašinérii, které zahrnují boje proti armádě, proti rasistickým migračním zákonům, genderově podmíněnému násilí, privatizaci vysokého školství, extraktivismu atd.

Přednášejícím a moderátorem bude: Antipolitika: anarchistický časopis z Balkánu. Přednáška bude v angličtině s překladem do češtiny.

Anarchist solidarity and anti-war initiatives in post-Yugoslav countries (Antipolitika)

The discussion will be focused on trying to articulate an autonomous, anti-capitalist position against war and militarism. Relaying on the experience of the anarchist activities during the 90s’ wars on the theritory of the so-called yugoslavia, we will discuss ways in which the logic of war and its “normality” was and still can be escaped. We will also try to consider the consequences of war on various aspects of our existence such as gender roles, environment and other material conditions, and finally call for the connection of all struggles against the capitalist machinery which include fights against the military, against racist migration laws, gender-based violence, privatisation of higher education, extractivism and so on.

The lecturer and moderator will be: Antipolitika: anarchist journal from the balkansThe talk will be in English with translation into Czech.

Protest in front of the headquarters of STV GROUP supporting the massacre (not only) in Gaza

As a part of the May Action Week, we are calling for a protest on Monday May 20th, 2024 in front of the headquarters of STV GROUP a.s. in Prague. STV Group materially supports the Israeli army that is massacring the people of Gaza. It is part of a war machine that is a profitable business and at the same time it brings destruction, death, misery, famine…

We will not remain silent when we know that thousands of miles away people like us are being murdered. We call for solidarity with them and will work to ensure that the massacres cannot continue. At the same time, we clearly declare our refusal to support nationalist tendencies that do not benefit the impoverished people of Gaza, but above all those who rule and exploit them. Our solidarity is directed towards our class brothers and sisters in Gaza who are under attacks by the Israeli army and, at the same time, under daily attacks by Palestinian capitalists, repressive forces, bureaucrats and religious fundamentalists.

The exploited and oppressed in Gaza have no common interest with those who exploit them at home, just as it is not in the interest of the exploited and oppressed in Israel that the bombing of Gaza continues. We are not calling for “national unity” or “national liberation struggle”, but rather for the dismantling of national unity, which always represents a false “unity” between the subjugated social class and the capitalist class that subjugates it.

The cracks in the nationalist construction help the exploited, regardless of national borders, to recognize their common interests and the need to unite against their exploiters in Gaza, Israel and all over the world. Let us together denounce the “external” aggression of the Israeli State, but also the “local” aggression that takes place under the Palestinian flag. Let’s take a stand against nationalism – Israeli, Palestinian or otherwise. Let’s disrupt the business of the STV Group, which is adding fuel to the heat of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, but also in other parts of the world.

Manifestation devant le siège de STV GROUP qui soutient le massacre (pas seulement) à Gaza

Dans le cadre de la Semaine d’action en mai, nous appelons à une manifestation le lundi 20 mai 2024 devant le siège de STV GROUP a.s. à Prague. STV Group soutient matériellement l’armée israélienne qui massacre la population de Gaza. Il fait partie d’une machine de guerre qui est un business rentable et qui en même temps apporte la destruction, la mort, la misère, la famine…

Nous ne resterons pas silencieux quand nous savons qu’à des milliers de kilomètres d’ici, des gens comme nous sont assassinés. Nous appelons à la solidarité avec eux et nous nous efforcerons de faire en sorte que les massacres ne puissent pas se poursuivre. Dans le même temps, nous déclarons clairement notre refus de soutenir les tendances nationalistes qui ne profitent pas à la population appauvrie de Gaza, mais surtout à ceux qui la gouvernent et l’exploitent. Notre solidarité s’adresse à nos frères et sœurs de classe de Gaza qui sont en proie aux attaques de l’armée israélienne et, en même temps, aux attaques quotidiennes des capitalistes palestiniens, des forces répressives, des bureaucrates et des fondamentalistes religieux.

Les exploités et les opprimés de Gaza n’ont aucun intérêt commun avec ceux qui les exploitent chez eux, tout comme il n’est pas dans l’intérêt des exploités et des opprimés d’Israël que les bombardements sur Gaza se poursuivent. Nous n’appelons pas à l’« unité nationale » ou à la « lutte de libération nationale », mais plutôt au démantèlement de l’unité nationale, qui représente toujours une fausse « unité » entre la classe sociale assujettie et la classe capitaliste qui l’assujettit.

Les fissures dans la construction nationaliste aident les exploités, indépendamment des frontières nationales, à reconnaître leurs intérêts communs et la nécessité de s’unir contre leurs exploiteurs à Gaza, en Israël et dans le monde entier. Dénonçons ensemble l’agression « extérieure » de l’État israélien, mais aussi l’agression « locale » qui a lieu sous le drapeau palestinien. Prenons position contre le nationalisme – israélien, palestinien ou autre. Interrompons les activités du groupe STV, qui jette de l’huile sur le feu du conflit en cours à Gaza, mais aussi dans d’autres parties du monde.

Intervista al comitato organizzativo della Settimana dell’azione

Per la settimana dal 20 al 26 maggio, un comitato organizzativo (OC) invita gli oppositori radicali della guerra di tutta Europa a una settimana dell’azione e a una conferenza “contro le guerre capitaliste e la pace capitalista” a Praga. In un’intervista a Transmitter, gli organizzatori spiegano l’obiettivo di questo incontro e il loro punto di vista sulla guerra in Ucraina e su come vari movimenti di sinistra la stanno affrontando.

Make Tattoo Not War – fundraiser for war refugees

As part of the Action Week, we will also focus on art forms of protest against wars, and we will link it directly to a collection for war refugees. On Wednesday 22 May 2024 there will be a fundraising tattoo event as part of the Make Tattoo Not War campaign.

We know tattoos can’t stop war. But people who flee war need the means to be able to escape and then live with dignity. We will provide the money we raise to the refugees that the Russian and Ukrainian states tried to involuntarily mobilize and send to the front. They fled to save their lives and to avoid having to thwart the lives of those on the other side of the war line.

Dominantní ideologie vládnoucí třídy tvrdí, že pokud neprobíhá válka nastává mír, jež je opakem války. Kapitalismus bez války však neexistuje a to co je v současném zřízení pojmenováno mírem, je ve skutečnosti třídní válkou buržoazie proti zbývající části populace.

Make Tattoo Not War – benefiční tetovací dýchánek

V rámci Akčního týdne se zaměříme také na umělecké formy protestu proti válkám a rovnou to spojíme se sbírkou pro válečné uprchlíky. Ve středu 22.  května 2024 proběhne benefiční tetovačka v rámci kampaně Make tattoo Not War.

Víme, že tetování nemůže válku zastavit. Jenže lidé, kteří před válkou prchají, potřebují prostředky, aby mohli útěk realizovat a poté důstojně žít. Vybrané peníze poskytneme uprchlíkům, které se ruský a ukrajinský stát snažili nedobrovolně mobilizovat a poslat na frontu. Utekli aby si zachránili život a aby nemuseli na povel mařit životy těch na druhé straně válečné linie.

Brzy zveřejníme místo konání a seznam osob, které budou tetovat. Seznam se může rozrůst, proto nás neváhej kontaktovat pokud si chceš také zatetovat.

Para la semana del 20 al 26 de mayo, un comité organizador (CO) invita a opositores radicales a la guerra de toda Europa a una semana de acción y a una conferencia “contra las guerras capitalistas y la paz capitalista” en Praga. En una entrevista concedida a Transmitter, los organizadores explican el objetivo de este encuentro y su visión de la guerra en Ucrania y de cómo la afrontan diversos movimientos de izquierda.

Protest před sídlem společnosti STV GROUP podporující masakr (nejen) v Gaze

V rámci květového Akčního týdne svoláváme na pondělí 20. 5. 2024 protest před sídlo společnosti STV GROUP a.s. v Praze. STV Group materiálně podporuje izraelskou armádu, která masakruje obyvatele Gazy. Je součástí válečné mašinerie, která je výnosným byznysem a současně přináší zkázu, smrt, bídu, hladomor…

Nebudeme mlčet, když víme, že tisíce kilometrů od nás jsou vražděni nám podobní lidé. Voláme po solidaritě s nimi a budeme se zasazovat o to, aby masakry nemohli pokračovat. Zároveň jasně deklarujeme naše odmítnutí podporovat nacionalistické tendence, které neprospívají zbídačenému obyvatelstvu Gazy, ale především těm, kteří mu vládnou a vykořisťují ho. Naše solidarita míří k našim třídním bratrům a sestrám v Gaze, jež jsou v sevření útoků Izraelské armády a zároveň každodenních útoků ze strany palestinských kapitalistů, represivních složek, byrokratů a náboženských fundamentalistů.

Vykořisťovaní a utlačovaní v Gaze nemají žádný společný zájem s těmi, kdo je doma vykořisťuje, stejně jako není v zájmu vykořisťovaných a utlačovaných v Izraeli, aby pokračovalo bombardování Gazy. Nevoláme po “národní jednotě” nebo “národně osvobozeneckém boji”, ale naopak po rozbití národní jednoty, která vždy představuje falešnou “jednotu” mezi podrobenou sociální třídou a kapitalistickou třídou, která si ji podmaňuje.

Trhliny v nacionalistické konstrukci napomáhají tomu, že vykořisťovaní mohou bez ohledu na státní hranice rozpoznat společné zájmy a nutnost spojit se proti svým vykořisťovatelům v Gaze, Izraeli a po celém světě. Pojďme spolu odsoudit “vnější” agresi izraelského státu, ale také agresi “místní”, která probíhá pod palestinskou vlajkou. Pojďme se vymezit proti nacionalismu – izraelskému, palestinskému a jakémukoli jinému. Pojďme narušit byznys firmy STV Group, která přilévá olej do žáru probíhajícího konfliktu v Gaze, ale i v dalších částech světa.

Interview with the Organising committee of the Action Week


For the week of 20-26 May, an organising committee (OC) is inviting radical  opponents of war from all over Europe to a week of action and a conference “against capitalist wars and capitalist peace” in Prague. In an interview with Transmitter, the organisers explain the aim of this meeting and their view of the war in Ukraine and how various left-wing movements are dealing with it.

Mai lädt ein Organisationskomittee (OK) linksradikale Kriegsgegner:innen aus ganz Europa zu einer Aktionswoche und Konferenz „gegen kapitalistische Kriege und kapitalistischen Frieden“ nach Prag ein (actionweek.noblogs.org). Im Gespräch mit Transmitter erläutern die Organisator:innen das Ziel dieses Treffens und ihren Blick auf den Krieg in der Ukraine und den Umgang verschiedener linker Strömungen damit.

For a revolutionary anti-war position: lecture and moderated discussion

Civil peace within capitalism is not an alternative to imperialist war, but rather its source. National “liberation” and “self determination” are fodder for interstate competition. National “liberation” only leads to the founding of new capitalist states or national ” Autonomy” in existing ones (for example: Kurdish nationalism in Syria and Iraq) and is a toy of imperialism. We are against pro-capitalist and pro-imperialist anti-fascism. Social revolutionaries fight democracy uncompromisingly – just like all other forms of government Military coups and dictatorships, but never defend democracy. Only the class-struggle-revolutionary proletariat has the power to progressively end the imperialist wars by destroying capitalism.

Za revoluční protiválečné stanovisko: přednáška a moderovaná diskuze

Občanský mír v kapitalismu není alternativou k imperialistické válce, ale spíše jejím zdrojem. Národní “osvobození” a “sebeurčení” jsou krmivem pro mezistátní konflikty a soupeření. Národní “osvobození” vede pouze k zakládání nových států tj. kapitalistických států nebo národní “autonomii” ve stávajících státech (např: kurdský nacionalismus v Sýrii a Iráku) a je hračkou imperialismu. My jsme proti prokapitalistickému a proimperialistickému antifašismu. Sociální revolucionáři*ky nekompromisně bojují proti demokracii – stejně jako proti všem ostatním formám vlády, vojenským převratům a diktaturám. Nikdy však nehájíme demokracii. Pouze na třídním základě bojující revoluční proletariát má moc postupně ukončit imperialistické války tím, že zničí kapitalismus.
